Nico Renner, now a Product Manager at BeiGene in Switzerland, previously worked on digital transformation projects at Roche in Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, including leading an international project to design and implement digital solutions across multiple markets. In his master’s thesis, Nico had to code an algorithm himself—an experience that didn’t help his final grade much but, in hindsight, taught him valuable lessons about how problem-solving with algorithms work (or why they fail). He believes that “being lazy” with repetitive tasks is one of the best reasons to use AI: it’s faster, more reliable, and frees up time for higher-impact work. But AI isn’t just about efficiency—it’s a chance to rethink processes and embrace innovation. And: The AI we use today, is the worst AI you will see in your life. Hence we should start today. Nico’s goal is to share simple use-cases with which you can start exploring different AI tools right away! Disclaimer: Nico will be sharing his individual experience and opinion, which might not reflect his current employer’s perspective.
