Mike Bales has worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. Starting as an R&D engineer in both the diagnostics and biologic manufacturing domains, he then moved into management consulting where he led strategic initiatives for healthcare companies worldwide. He has spent the past 12 years at Roche, holding roles in marketing and commercial operations, field leadership, product development and clinical operations, personalized healthcare, AI and digital health, and M&A integrations. Mike likes to focus on enabling the innovation infrastructure required to translate transformational science into meaningful healthcare advances, most recently championing a variety of global initiatives and collaborations to advance digital health and AI. Mike holds degrees in science and engineering from the University of Ottawa and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
